We need a bold new vision for government |
 |
We are seeking imaginative, challenging and transformative ideas about how we can make government better. Futures work can help to stretch our imaginations by considering what is desirable, what is plausible, and what should be avoided. The product of this work will be a collection of essays, provocations and future scenarios published at a major Nesta event in September 2019.
The year 2030 is chosen as its close enough to be imaginable, but far enough away for radical change to be contemplated. Futures work can help to stretch our imaginations by considering what is desirable, what is plausible, and what should be avoided. Find more information about the Open Call. We encourage you to delight and surprise us with your ideas. |

Using collective intelligence design to unlock new insights about cancer |
 |
Can more be done to empower people as they navigate their experiences of cancer? With over 620 UK cancer charities offering guidance and support to those affected by cancer, information abundance can be almost as much of an issue as information scarcity. In particular, we welcome the focus on people having more control over their own health and more personalised care.
This is welcome recognition that people need emotional and practical support to build their confidence and motivation, and become active participants in decisions about their health and wellbeing - something we are exploring through Good Help. We explore ways that collective intelligence can enable citizens to be active decision makers in their treatment. |
