Futures work can help to stretch our imaginations by considering what is desirable, what is plausible, and what should be avoided. The product of this work will be a collection of essays, provocations and future scenarios published at a major Nesta event in September 2019.

| Using collective intelligence design to unlock new insights about cancer |

Can more be done to empower people as they navigate their experiences of cancer? With over 620 UK cancer charities offering guidance and support to those affected by cancer, information abundance can be almost as much of an issue as information scarcity. In particular, we welcome the focus on people having more control over their own health and more personalised care.
This is welcome recognition that people need emotional and practical support to build their confidence and motivation, and become active participants in decisions about their health and wellbeing - something we are exploring through Good Help. We explore ways that collective intelligence can enable citizens to be active decision makers in their treatment. |
